Together in Christ
for the  Greater Glory of God

Spending time with Jesus

Eucharistic Adoration is the best way Christians have on this earth to spend time in quiet conversation with Jesus. Recall that just before Jesus physically left the apostles and ascended to the Father, he reassured them, "And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age." (Matthew 28:20) This statement is fulfilled in the reality of Jesus' Real Presence in the Eucharist in the hands of the priest at Mass each day; reserved in the tabernacle in the heart of Holy Family Parish church; and right before one's eyes, mind and heart in Eucharistic Adoration.

During Eucharistic Adoration, the Consecrated Host is exposed on the altar in what is known as a monstrance (an ornate golden vessel), allowing for public worship and private prayer.

Hail Mary, full of Grace

The rose is the queen of flowers; Rosary means a crown of roses, a spiritual bouquet given to the Blessed Mother; and so the Rosary is the rose of all devotions. The Holy Rosary is considered a perfect prayer because within it lies the awesome story of Christian salvation. With the Rosary, in fact we meditate the mysteries of joy, of sorrow and the glory of Jesus and Mary.

The Rosary is simple prayer, humble so much like Mary. It's a prayer we can say together with Her, the Mother of God, the Son. With the Hail Mary, one invites Her to pray for us. In every apparition, the heavenly Mother has invited us to say the Rosary as a powerful weapon against evil, to bring us to true peace.

The Fifteen Promises of Mary to Christians who recite the Rosary
  • Whoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the rosary, shall receive signal graces.
  • I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the rosary.
  • The rosary shall be a powerful armor against hell, it will destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies.
  • It will cause virtue and good works to flourish; it will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God; it will withdraw the heart of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
  • The soul which recommend itself to me by the recitation of the rosary, shall not perish.
  • Whoever shall recite the rosary devoutly, applying himself to the consideration of its sacred mysteries shall never be conquered by misfortune. God will not chastise him in His justice, he shall not by an unprovided death; if he be just he shall remain in the grace of God, and become worthy of eternal life.
  • Whoever shall have a true devotion for the rosary shall not die without the sacraments of the Church.
  • Those who are faithful to recite the rosary shall have during their life and at their death the light of God and the plenitude of His graces; at the moment of death they shall participate in the merits of the saints in paradise.
  • I shall deliver from purgatory those who have been devoted to the rosary.
  • The faithful children of the rosary shall merit a high degree of glory in heaven.
  • You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the rosary.
  • All those who propagate the holy rosary shall be aided by me in their necessities.
  • I have obtained from my Divine Son that all the advocates of the rosary shall have for intercessors the entire celestial court during their life and at the hour of death.
  • All who recite the rosary are my son, and brothers of my only son Jesus Christ.
  • Devotion of my rosary is a great sign of predestination.

The Presence of Jesus brings with it in some way the presence of His Mother: The Christ Who becomes present on the altar is the same Christ Who took from Mary His Body and Blood of the Eucharistic Sacrifice that are given as nourishment to us. The reality of the Word made flesh can be perceived only in its twofold relation of Son: the one according to which He is eternally engendered by the Father and the one according to which He was begotten in time by Mary. "Ave verum Corpus natum de Maria - Hail true Body born of the Virgin Mary!"
