Holy Family offers varied and extensive opportunities for ongoing catechesis (faith instruction) through its traditional Religious Ed program for children and youth from Kindergarten into High School, as well as through timely educational programing for adults seeking to enrich and grow their faith. Children's preparation for First Holy Communion and young adult preparation for  Confirmation are part of their Religious Ed studies; while adults prepare for the Sacraments through Sacramental Prep classes. Lectures, study groups, guest speakers and discussion groups are offered throughout the year, with details updated in the weekly bulletin, on the Parish calendar and on the Parish website.
At the heart of catechesis we find, in essence, a Person, Jesus of Nazareth, the only Son from the Father, Who suffered and died for us and Who now, after rising, is living with us forever. To catechize is to reveal in the Person of Christ the whole of God's eternal design reaching fulfillment in the Person. It is to seek to understand the meaning of Christ's actions and words and of the signs worked by Him. Catechesis aims at putting people in communion with Jesus Christ; only He can lead us to the love of the Father in the Spirit and make us share in the life of the Holy Trinity.
(Blessed John Paul II)
