The General Roman Calendar
Each year, the Secretariat of Divine Worship of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops publishes the Liturgical Calendar for the Dioceses of the United States of America. The calendar is based upon the General Roman Calendar, promulgated by Pope Paul VI, subsequently amended by Pope John Paul II, and is the Particular Calendar for the Dioceses of the United States, approved by the National Conference of Catholic Bishops.
Some solemnities and other feasts on the Roman Calendar are observed on (moved to) Sundays by American Dioceses and/or the National Conference, creating slight variations in the U.S.; the calendar below notes dates per the General Roman Calendar.
