Together in Christ
for the  Greater Glory of God

A Catholic cemetery

As a Catholic Cemetery, Saint Joseph's is consecrated ground - a sacred place. Catholics believe in the "resurrection of the dead and life everlasting"; that in this world, one's body is a temple of the Holy Spirit; and that when one dies he/she becomes a new creation, preparing for the Lord's return in Glory. A Catholic Cemetery understands the truth in the resurrection and provides the dignity and respect that one's remains deserve in returning to the dust from whence they came.

Since circa 1875, Saint Joseph Cemetery has been a peaceful place for ritual and remembrance. It bears witness to the core of Catholicism, i.e. Christ's Resurrection from the dead and His promise to His people of life to come for them. As a place of ritual prayer, an annual Mass is offered for the deceased entrusted to the cemetery's care. Private prayers and visits reconnect the living to their beloved deceased, providing remembrance in gratitude to those faithful of the community who have died.

The dignity and respect, that Saint Joseph Cemetery embellishes, gives honor to those departed; and for their relatives and friends, the Cemetery gives comfort as a prayerful resting place that affirms the promise of  reunification to one's loved ones on the last day.

Every parting gives a foretaste of death;
every coming together again a foretaste of the resurrection.
(Arthur Schopenhauer)

A beautiful landscape

The Cemetery serves the faithful of Holy Family Parish and the parishes of the surrounding area. It is approximately 35 acres in size with 33 acres developed sites and 2 acres for at need and pre-need plots. Conventional single and double plots and pre-installed concrete lawn crypts, that include room for two full earth burials, and superior drainage and headstone footings are available at Saint Joseph Cemetery. Serenity surrounds the beautiful and well-maintained landscape.

Jesus said to her (Martha), "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die."
(John 11:25-26)
