The Catholic Church is fundamentally liturgical and sacramental in its public life of worship. Paraphrasing Revelation (7:9), Divine liturgy is something "the whole Christ" celebrates: the high Priest, our Risen Lord, together with His Body not only on earth but in heaven; "a great multitude, which no man could number."
At Holy Family Parish, Weekend Liturgy is the source and summit of our faith experience and is at the heart of who we are as a faith community. We endeavor a liturgy that is an encounter with the living God; a liturgy that is welcoming of all; a liturgy that values the full, conscious, and active participation of the parishioners; a liturgy in which the homily seeks to connect scripture to people's daily lives; and a liturgy that seeks to transform how people are in their community and their world.
Notwithstanding Weekend Liturgy, and as well the Sacraments, Holy Family encourages parishioner' devotional life, which derives its power and efficacy from the prayers and rituals of the Church. Prayer, especially the Holy Rosary; weekday Mass; the veneration of relics and sacred objects; the Stations of the Cross; Eucharistic Adoration; Benediction; blessings and other popular devotions, strengthen the Parish and enrich the lives of Holy Family parishioners.
... YOU SHALL WORSHIP THE LORD YOUR GOD, AND SERVE HIM ONLY.
(Matthew 4:10)
Come Let Us Worship
We gather together to ask the Lord's blessing;
He chastens and hastens His will to make known,
The wicked oppressing now cease from distressing:
Sing praises to His name;
He forgets not His own.
Here we are to worship;
Here we are to bow down;
Here we are to say that You're our God:
You're altogether lovely,
All together worthy,
All together wonderful to us.
