Let everyday be a day to learn and grow in the Faith
The continuing education of adults is at the center of the Church's educational mission. In a very real sense, children are raised up in an adult faith. Continuing religious education, either formal or informal, is essential for all Catholics.
Parishioners are encouraged to attend classes, programs, retreats and lectures offered at the Parish and by neighboring centers that promote knowledge of faith and spiritual growth. Parish adults of all ages are invited to gather as a community and share experiences of faith and how to live as Catholic Christians in the world today. Thus, the Parish strives to be a beacon of inspiration for all to live as disciples of Christ, which includes Catholic study, participation in the liturgy of the Church, active prayer and service to community.
However, due to age, infirmity, the demands of work and family, or the distance from home to the church, not everyone is able to take advantage of opportunities at the Parish or elsewhere. In addition to excellent resources online such as those contained in the Our Daily Bread listings on this website, parishioners are encouraged to have a copy of the Catechism of the Catholic Church next to the family Bible in their homes as an ideal "one stop" reference book. Other books and electronic media on Catholic subject matter are readily available through a variety of sources.
Sunday Mass at Holy Family is broadcast on local community cable TV; please check TV listings for times.
For the able-bodied, making time to make a retreat is a whole being opportunity to take time out with God. Consider also a pilgrimage to a holy place as a way to to strengthen and center one's spiritual life.
Let every day be a day to learn and grow in the faith. For communal study opportunities at Holy Family, be sure to check the Bulletin, the Holy Family web calendar, news announcements, and regularly updated information contained within the Parish Life web pages.
